Ca´n Portuvil, situated in a privileged location overlooking the valley of Sóller all the way to the bay in the port, and the Tramuntana mountains, is a very private country house surrounded by 100.000 m2 of terraced land with olive trees.
The house has recently been thoroughly renovated, and now provides an elegant, and comfortable modern standard. Beautiful pieces of antique furniture meet the eye as you walk through the different rooms mixed with new design furniture.
The house is on two floors, and with a basement floor where the large laundry room is situated. On entrance level, there are three bedrooms with antique Majorcan double beds, - all beds adjusted to European standards, airconditioning, and new design bathrooms en-suite, all with hairdriers and showers. One bedroom has an ante-room with a sofa-bed. All bedrooms have windows with a view. On this floor is a fully equipped, luxury design kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso, and next to it an old style kitchen with yet another dishwasher and a second fridge/freezer. A fifth, full bathroom with shower is also right here.
The dining room, next to the kitchen, has a large dining table and an antique Majorcan sitting-corner. Large doors opens on to a covered and peaceful, fully furnished, terrace in colonial style, and a pine shaded garden.
The renovation of the second floor is in an ultra modern and exclusive design, all airconditioned. The impressive wooden beams make a marvellous contrast to the two large and airy bedrooms, one of them with an adjoining terrace, and both with extra large double beds. Between the two bedrooms is a spacious, special design bathroom with a walk-in shower. Each bedroom has its own entrance to separate washbasin areas, and separate areas for the WC´s.
On this floor is also the comfortable TV-room, opening on to the pool area, which is on a large, tiled terrass with sunbeds and an additional roof shaded area. The panoramic views are breathtaking!
Within a 5 minute drive, you are in the square of Sóller, and in 5 more minutes, at the beach in Puerto de Sóller.
Closeby villages are Fornalutx and Biniaraix, where the famous Barranc walk starts.
