The Palacio, could easily be called “an exquisite piece of art”. This 16th-century palace, right in the historic centre of Palma, with the Cathedral and the Almudaina palace, next door, has been converted into three individual apartments, of which The Palacio is one.
The Palacio, is an unusual and elegant duplex apartment of approx 175 m2, including a balcony and a large covered terrace. The historic charm of The Palacio is brilliantly joined together with modern style features.
Crossing the sunny patio (courtyard), and walking up the stairs to first floor, one steps right into a heavenly world of a beautifully furnished and decorated, spacious living room. Large antique windows, to the patio, as well as to the street, makes the room light and airy. A spiral staircase takes you to a library partition.
From the living room out is a fork division. Taking to the left, through a passage with a large window towards the patio, is the fully equipped kitchen and dining room. The kitchen is in a lovely old-fashioned style with incredible pieces of antique side-boards, in excellent condition, breaking off nicely to the original, tiled flooring.
Taking to the right, is a large double bedroom with a full bathroom, with tub, en-suite, a dressing room, and a furnished balcony of approx 20 m2, with views of the mountains in the west.
From the kitchen out is an original, winding staircase to the upper floor, and to a large doubble bedroom with bathroom with shower, en-suite, and a small laundry room.
The bedroom, with double glazing, opens on to an approx 40 m2, coverd terrace with lovely, comfortable, latest style, garden furniture, carpet and greenery. The terrace could easily be an open-air bedroom. Again the view is to the west, where one can enjoy beautiful sunsets over the mountains.
The old town of Palma, offers a strong cultural environment with art galleries, churches and theatres, all together with chick boutiques and a variety of unique shops. And for the gourmet, there is a never ending selection of restaurants, bars and outdoor cafés.
Palma´s famous Cathedral, 50 m away, has the most breathtaking views of the Palma bay. The Palma beach is a ten-minute walk away.
