Bunyola, is a pretty Majorcan village with narrow cobbled streets, a town square, local shops and several nice restaurants and cafés. It´s nestling in terraced countryside on the southern slopes of the Tramuntana mountains, approx 14 km from Palma, heading for Sóller. Every Saturday is market day, with Majorcan fresh products; vegetables, cheeses, sausages, eggs, olives, etc.
The Palma – Sóller train makes a stop here, several times a day
Finca Alegre, is a very much “hacienda” inspired country house situated in a peaceful surrounding, approx 10 minutes drive from the centre of Bunyola. The finca is surrounded by 2.500 square metres of smooth, terraced land, being the home for goats, ducks, horses to ride, peacocks, white ducks, guinea-fowl, and chickens, a lovely adventure for both grown-ups and children.
Finca Alegre comprises a main, one level, Majorcan house of 120 square metres, and an adjoining studio-apartment of 40 square metres. In the main house are two double bedrooms, (beds 1,50 x 2 m), one with a bathroom with jacuzzi en-suite, the other with a bathroom with shower, to be shared with the single bedroom (bed 0,90 x 2 m).
There is the rustic kitchen, with dishwasher, and direct acces to the terrace. Divided by an impressive arch, is the dining area with seating for eight, joined by a cozy living room with an open fire-place. Large French windows opens on to the shady, furnished terrace, and to the divine pool and garden area.
All rooms have thick wooden beams, terracotta tiled floors, air-conditioning and central heating.
There is an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue, a Majorcan bread oven, and a washing machine next to the terrace.
The studio-apartment is in lively colours - Mexican inspired, with a double bed, a kitchen-space with 2 burners, and a small fridge. On mezzanine level is a large, elegant, full bathroom with the tub hollowed into the floor.
Finca Alegre is a true, and joyable nature event for the whole family; everyone can find his own paradise, whether it is relaxing in the sun by the pool, talking to the animals, or picking your own vegetables.
