Bunyola is still very much a village untouched by time, situated on the southern slopes of the Tramuntana Mountains and approx. 14 km from Palma, heading for Sóller. The Palma – Sóller train makes a stop here several times a day.
Bunyola is a fairly rich municipality with large manor houses, narrow streets, a town square, a church, local shops and several nice restaurants. Approx. 500 metres from this genuine little village of Bunyola is the traditional, and tastefully renovated farmhouse, finca Barcello.
Finca Barcello, sits on a hillside overlooking the valley of Bunyola. The finca is surrounded by 40.000 square metres of terraced land with almond-, lemon-, olive-, and carob trees.
Finca Barcello has been carefully renovated and now provides a comfortable modern standard with a wonderful mixture of antique Mallorquin furniture and modern designed colourful bathrooms.
Along the front of the house is a 400 square metre terrace furnished with a table seating 12 people. The Patio, at the back of the house, has several small outhouses preserved from the old times, where tools and farm vehicles are kept. Here are also two portable barbecues. Just outside the patio is a large covered parking.
There is a total of five double bedrooms, all with twin beds adjusted to the European standards, satellite-TV, and with different couloured bathrooms ensuite. Some bathrooms are with a tub and some just with showers.
On ground floor is the impressive arched entrada, the dining room and fully equipped kitchen with a laundry room next to it. A small room has a pay phone installed and the house also provides Internet connection. On ground floor are also two of the bedrooms.
Following the stairs to second floor there is a comfortably furnished living room with wonderful views of the terraced land and next to it a beautiful, old fashioned walk through room with big picture windows and views of the front terrace and the valley. On this floor are the remaining three bedrooms.
The impressive lawned pool area is below the front terrace. The pool measures 10 x 5 m. There is a comfortable seating area with sunbeds, and an adjoining shower and WC room.
