The Sóller valley, also called the valley of oranges, offers a unique environment due to the Tramuntana mountains which has protected and conserved the valley from a mass tourist industry. The Sóller valley has everything you want; breathtaking nature with high mountains terraced with olive groves, immense fruit orchards of oranges and lemons, glittering sea with beaches and nautical activities; traditions from medieval times with local festivities, old Majorcan stone houses lining narrow cobbled streets, and a very friendly population which has a rich artistic heritage.
The small town of Sóller connects with the port, Puerto de Sóller, by car or by the popular tram. The nearby mountain villages, Fornalutx and Biniaraix are easily reached by car, or by foot for the walking enthusiasts.
Palma, the dynamic metropolitan capital of Mallorca, has an immense diversity to offer. Magnificent medieval buildings from the Roman, Moorish and Jewish era, galleries, monuments, parks, and the attractions of the modern Palma. Along Palma´s coastline, further out from the centre of town, are pretty little bays and beaches with small places such as Bendinat, Illetas, Portals Nous, Palma Nova on the west side, or Portixol and Ciudad Jardín on the east side.
